Feeka is a coffee shop discreetly nestled in a quiet corner of Sector F-10, Islamabad. Occupying a corner plot, the site benefits from generous natural light that floods the interior from multiple directions, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow throughout the day. The design is conceived as a spatial narrative of contrasts, a dialogue between the raw and the refined, the bold and the understated.
At the heart of the concept lies the interplay of vivid red accents against a subdued grey canvas. The red elements evoke the language of industrial infrastructure, rendered through Product Red scaffolding members articulated with standard joints that celebrate utility and detail as an aesthetic in their own right. These scaffolding structures are not merely decorative but serve as a framework, a skeletal presence that lends rhythm and texture to the space.
The grey backdrop functions as a quiet, neutral field, anchoring the red elements and allowing them to emerge as moments of intensity. Solid wood surfaces are introduced as a counterpoint to this industrial vocabulary, tempering the sharpness with warmth, tactility, and an earthy richness. The wood infuses the interior with a sense of material honesty and human scale, mediating between the striking chromatic contrasts.
The red acts as an accent, strategically deployed to punctuate the space and guide the eye, creating layers of perception and depth. This chromatic tension between the grey, red, and wood establishes a balanced yet provocative interior that remains engaging without becoming overwhelming.
The furniture has been custom-designed to resonate with the architectural language of the interior. It echoes the scaffolding’s linearity and detail while embracing the warmth of wood, ensuring continuity in material expression. Together, these elements create an environment that is at once industrial and intimate, a place where structural honesty and crafted detail converge to define a unique spatial character.
